Hi friends, family and all...I wanted to share with you a great product that I have had personal experience with. I know...you think it has to do with dogs, right? Well normally it would, but this time it happens to be holiday cards from Shutterfly. Why you ask?

Well, let me tell you. For several years I've used Shutterfly to create many of my holiday cards as well as birthday cards. The ease of use is amazing and the variety of templates can't be beat. I love the way you are able to personalize your items. You can use one picture or multiple pictures. You can include their message or create your own. There are so many ways to create your holiday cards that it is difficult to choose which design to use.

Also, just so you know I haven't forgotten about the rescue dogs. I have already created holiday cards for all of my adopted rescue dogs' family's. I know they will LOVE the thought and the lovely cards as remembrance of their dog's foster family.

Are you looking for me? Are you my HERO?

Hi... I'm Gabby (short for Molto bello Gabriella - which means very beautiful Gabriella). I was rescued by Austin Dog Alliance from the kill shelter. I'm very thankful that I was rescued, because there are few strikes going against me. Let me explain:

1. I'm an older gal (no puppy issues here).

2. I'm a medium/large size (50 lbs).

3. I'm mostly black (but quite beautiful, with some white mixed in).

4. I'm low-positive for heartworms (not a problem, all I need is my monthly heartworm medicine, nothing else).

As you can see, I'm looking for a HERO. I'm not the kind of dog that most families are looking for. So, let me tell you a little about me. COMPANIONSHIP is my gift to you. I love. I love to be loved. I would be a great partner all by myself. I would be an excellant friend to other dogs in the house. You see, I've proven myself to be a good friend in my foster home with mature dogs, middle-aged dogs and even a puppy. Cats and small animals are not my thing. Riding in the car is a favorite pastime for me. Do you need a co-pilot? Short, calm walks are another wonderful experience I enjoy. Slow & steady is my pace.

So you think only chows have a black tongue? Guess again...

As you can see on a few pictures, I have a spotted black tongue. I really don't think I am a chow, so I did a little research to find out if there were others out there with the famous black tongue (well known from the chow breed).

Breeds known to have members with spotted tongues:
